Backup, your rides and the dashboard

Every ride is saved on your phone. To keep it safe and see it on a computer, sign in with your email and turn Backup on: each finished ride is copied to your account, shown on the dashboard at ridehero.app/app, and comes back on a new phone. Backup is free and starts off.

Your rides on the phone

Menu > Past rides > All rides lists every ride. Tap one for:

  • its map and height profile, and a replay - press play, or drag the slider or the profile;
  • the full table of numbers, charts over time, and power (real from a meter, estimated without one);
  • After the ride: how hard it felt, 1 to 10 - optional, never asked for;
  • Delete this ride and Share or export (see import and export).

Sign in and turn on backup

  1. Open Menu > Account & settings > Account & backup.
  2. Type your email and tap SEND CODE.
  3. Type the code from the email and tap SIGN IN.
  4. Set Backup to ON. BACK UP NOW sends anything waiting.

With Backup off, or signed out, nothing leaves the phone.

The web dashboard

Open ridehero.app/app on a computer and sign in with the same email (a code, no password). It shows your backed-up rides with their maps and replay, your climbs, and your totals - distance, time, climbing and rides - by week, month and year.

A new phone

Install RideHero, sign in with the same email and turn Backup on. Your backed-up rides come back.

Sign out or delete

  • SIGN OUT stops backup; rides on the phone stay.
  • DELETE ACCOUNT removes your account and every ride in the cloud. Rides on the phone stay. More on the delete page.

Is backup free?

Yes. Sign in with your email and turn Backup on.

Is backup on by default?

No. Backup starts off. With Backup off or signed out, nothing leaves your phone.

How do I move my rides to a new phone?

Install RideHero on the new phone, sign in with the same email and turn Backup on. Your backed-up rides come back.
