RideHero help
Step-by-step help for every part of RideHero. The app's menu is the three lines at the top right of the ride screen; every page here gives the exact path, like Menu > Sensors. New to RideHero? Start with Getting started.

Riding
Your ride pages
The pages you swipe through on a RideHero ride - big numbers, nine numbers, the map - and how to make two of them your own with the page builder.
Screen, dimming and holder
Dark or light screen, sideways mounting, dimming when you stop to save battery, the phone holder setting for strap mounts, and km or miles.
Voice updates
RideHero can read out your distance, speed, time and heart rate every 1, 2 or 5 km or miles, using the phone's own voice. Music ducks under it.
Barometer gradient
How RideHero measures climbing and gradient with the phone's barometer or with GPS, and which one to choose for steady numbers on a climb.
Maps
Maps
RideHero's map styles for road and trail, track up or north up, zoom, following your position, and the line of your ride drawn behind you.
Ghost of a past ride
Show one of your past rides as a faint grey line under today's track in RideHero, to follow a line you took before.
Sensors and sharing
Bluetooth sensors
Pair a Bluetooth heart-rate strap, speed or cadence sensor or power meter with RideHero, and fix a sensor that won't show up.
Track me
Share a live location link while you ride. They follow your position, speed, distance and battery on a map in any browser, with no app or account.
Your rides
Backup and dashboard
Sign in with your email to back up every RideHero ride, see your rides, climbs and totals on the web dashboard, and get them back on a new phone.
Import and export
Bring your ride history into RideHero from GPX, FIT or TCX files or your whole Strava or Garmin data export, and export any ride as GPX or FIT.
Share and compare
Send a ride to another rider through WhatsApp or any app, ride it as a ghost line, and compare the two rides afterwards.
When something's wrong
Battery and data
What uses battery and mobile data in RideHero, and the settings that make the battery last longer on a long ride.
Troubleshooting
Fixes for common RideHero problems - a ride that stopped recording, GPS position off the road, a sensor that won't connect, a ride that didn't back up.
